About Brightwire

Managed AI integration for energy operators.

Brightwire AI, LLC helps energy companies adopt AI the way operators actually work: start read-only, prove value, and earn autonomy only when your team is ready.

Founder-led · Houston
Operators first. Autonomy earned.

We build beside energy teams — markets, ops, and compliance in the room — so Phase 1 is useful without surrendering control.

Who we serve

We work with energy operators — generation, trading/markets, transmission & distribution, and the teams around them — who need AI that respects compliance, reliability, and control.

Our core offer is managed AI integration: we assess, build, deploy, and operate AI tools beside your people. You stay accountable. We keep the system safe, cited, and improving.

The 4-phase thesis

Most buyers reject “AI agents” because they only picture unsupervised autonomy. We start at Phase 1 — enterprise chatbot with RAG over your documents: read-only by default, no OT/write path, with SSO, entitlements, logging, and citations from day one. Capability expands only through deliberate gates.

Phase 1 — Enterprise chatbot (RAG)

Answers from your corpus. Query-only. Bounded risk.

Phase 2 — Self-serve dashboards

Natural-language analytics. Still read-only.

Phase 3 — Data agents

Monitor and recommend. Humans approve actions.

Phase 4 — Bounded autonomy

Execute only inside guardrails you define. No unsupervised OT or trading.

Founders

Operators, not AI tourists.

Brightwire is founder-led by people who were in energy data and markets before generative AI was a category.

Casey Martinez

Casey Martinez

Co-Founder, Technical

Before “AI” meant ChatGPT, it was data science and machine learning. Casey wrote his first neural network in 2017 during his master’s — and has worked at the intersection of ML and energy systems since, through the hype cycle rather than because of it. At Brightwire he leads technical delivery: how models, data, and controls land in operator workflows without breaking trust or compliance.

Garrett Morrow

Garrett Morrow

Co-Founder, Markets & Clients

Garrett spent a decade-plus on the commercial and operational side of power — markets, scheduling, and energy management — before co-founding Brightwire. He leads client engagement and commercial strategy, translating operator constraints into scoped Phase 1 work instead of generic AI theater.
